The African Social Enterprises Legal Advisory Facility, based in Kampala, is the Pro Bono arm of TASLAF Advocates and provides legal advisory services to African social enterprises in their start-up stage.
As the pioneer legal practice in East Africa to focus on the area of Social Business, we advise our clients on social enterprise best practices and ethical issues, as well as serve as a trusted advisor to our clients’ management teams. We have been consulted by the leading social enterprises on the African continent. In the past, we have provided services to clients in Rwanda, Uganda and Tanzania.
In addition, the policy arm of the facility conducts advocacy towards reform of the legal and operating environment of African Social Enterprises in the areas of legislative reform, tax policy, and international trade reform. This is intended to influence the social enterprise eco system and the legal and operating environment.
